Not sure if people are grasping the sheer necessity of #carefreeblackgirl ... A few weeks ago I experienced two deaths back to back that really got me upset. I'm not sure why, but I came home tied a big scarf like a #lapa turned on my #djembe pandora station, and channeled as much as I could remember from West African Dance way way back. I sweated, I was off-beat, it didn't really make sense-- I just danced until I couldn't move anymore. That didn't bring anyone back to life or end world hunger or institutional racism, but I felt better and I was content. To me that's what #carefreeblackgirl means.
